Snow Cake

Monday was sunny and full of blue skies.  But, still cold enough to maintain that lovely snow-playground in the backyard.   Perfect for being outside.   Eliza showed me how to make Snow Cakes.  Demonstration underway in following photo:

Guess what we found in one of Lars' toy bins?

The metal ski-jumper toy from when we lived in Norway.  So pefect for right now....and another reason to hold onto things.

I will look for pack-rat-affirmation wherever I can find it.  ;-)  After the Snow Cakes, I'm holding onto that little orange pudding mold, too.

Eliza's snow cakes are beautiful..
one of them seems like an ice cake though because it looks clear, doesn't it? Mostly, I loved seeing the "snow cake baker"....
of course, of course...and that delightful smile.
