I've always felt confident about my three as eaters -- they are pretty open-minded and willing to try new things, [which comes in handy with our lifestyle ;-).....] But, I've recently met the World Champion. :-)
Eliza's school friend, looking at the package of pasta: Are the black ones squid ink?
Tanya: (hesitating) You know, I think they are. But, you can pick.....
She interrupted with: Oh, those are my all-time FAVORITES!!
And she picked out all the black noodles from the dish and added them to her plate. I'll have you know that Lars ate only the plain, white ones.
I got sooooooo lucky in my grocery store visit in Italy. This bag of multi-colored, multi-flavored pasta was on SALE for about $2. I couldn't believe it. So, I bought three.
The kids just started eating before I could get the Snail Plates "filled" (read that: spread out the noodles and add vegetables.) In my mind, I had a different image of how the plates would look. ;-) I love those plates.
