This is Ian. Recently I went with my Boy Scout Troop to Camp Alpine in Kandersteg, Switzerland for a week-long summer camp. Throughout the week, we all took merit badge courses, (I took communications, photography, and environmental science) and on Thursday, we all hiked up to Oeschinensee, a glacier lake in the Swiss Alps. From shore to shore and back is two miles. My scoutmaster and four other boys swam out to the middle and back, going for a total of a mile.

The goat path we hiked down can be seen by the green path coming down the center of the picture.
Overall, the week was great and I had a lot of fun.
