Art Show

walking in to a rival high school

Eliza was part of an Art Show this week in our school district.  Only a few of us could go, since we've been taking turns with the flu at our house....

She was really excited about her art being in the exhibit, and counted the days until it was time.  Here, she's explaining some things to us, before we go inside the hall.

In we go.....

....and off to find our school's display, where we got to see what Eliza had made:

Little Elephant

He also has a convenient storage compartment on his back:

:-)

What a happy place it is at a children's Art Show.  Little Elephant is our favorite, but here are some others we liked, as well:

Horses

Bicycles

Wire Art, titled:  Playing

Paper Collage, titled:  Time is Running Out

Kindergarten Clay Houses, titled:  My Dream Home

Paper Collage, titled:  Memories of a Special Place

I was pretty impressed at what elementary school students create, and I came away from there thinking that being the Art Teacher must be the best job in any school.

Eliza certainly thinks highly of the one she's got.    :-)

Wow!!! We absolutely LOVE Eliza's little elephant!!! Beautiful!!!
(And those other kids art was very delightful also!) It actually all seems like something you might see in a gallery spotlighted and with ga-jillion dollar price tags on them...ha! (And you really should be an art teacher....I hadn't thought of it before...but..you would have the best time, huh?)
